Complete with a book club treasure hunt, this heartwarming novel is the perfect gift to lift any day.
Thoughtful, witty and tender, a story about connecting, creating family. What you keep from them. And for them. Of those we put on a pedestal, those trying to climb or kick at it, and those who fall off.
Seating in the hills of Salt Lake City, Utah, it's a ride through the 1980's, winding bends, twists and tummy ticklers, scenic overlooks of foreign lands, and into a new millennium. Escorted by multiple narrators that spin distinctly entertaining voices.
Kathie Palmer has always wanted a sister.
When Mariah Lee and baby move in next door, it is the answer to that prayer and more- expanding her world to far-off places, the glamor of Paris, and an inside view of empathy and compassion that keeps her at the center of family.
Elaine Palmer is wary of the perfect, illusive, Mariah, and struggles with the fatherless child, Suzannah, who invades her home with chaos. Yet she does what a good neighbor must, enjoys the blessings of seeing her family grow, unaware of what her own growth will require.
Suzannah Lee wears her heart on her sleeve, flickering from laughs to heartache. Predictably unpredictable she bumps against the wall of her mother’s secrets, through a black hole, falls on her face, chokes on the foot in her mouth, and has her heart broken. Cheered on by an unlikely coach, Jeff, she jumps on the path to become a pro athlete.
Jeff Carlisle often finds himself thrust into uncomfortable predicaments, like getting talked into coaching teenage girls. He will win more than one heart.
They will each lose what they hold most dear, in order to hold onto them.
KEEPING of Secrets and Promises is a story of mothers, daughters, sisters, and lovers; prices paid for another's happiness; promises and secrets they keep.
You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll fall in love.
Buckle up.

Descripción de la tienda
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
