This month is intentionally different. These readings are lighter, slower, and rooted in the rhythms of summer. You are invited to step outside, to notice, to rest, and to give your mind and body space to recover. Learning continues, but it happens through gardens, meals, sunlight, and quiet observation rather than structured lessons. If you are able to take a chance this month you may find new ways to teach informally as you walk along the road of life.June is not about falling behind. It is about being restored.Because if you are going to go the distance in homeschooling, you must be healthy enough to carry it. "June" is part of a series Encouragement for the Seasons of Homeschooling. Mama Annie shares openly that she needed to "renew her mind" daily using a daily devotional discipline. Series Description
This devotional series was written for the homeschooling family, but more importantly, for the mother who carries the weight of it.
Each month follows the natural rhythm of the year, guiding you through seasons of planning, teaching, rest, and renewal. These are not just daily readings, but lived reflections drawn from years of homeschooling, homemaking, and walking with the Lord through real life.
You will find practical wisdom, simple recipes, moments of humor, and honest encouragement. Some days will feel like a nudge forward, others like permission to sit down and breathe.
This is not about doing more. It is about learning to live well, with intention, with faith, and with a rhythm that sustains both you and your family.
June Description
June is the month where we begin to downshift the cognitive load.
After a long season of teaching, planning, and pushing forward, many homeschooling mothers find themselves exhausted, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
If you are able to take a chance this month you may find new ways to teach informally as you walk along the road of life.
June is not about falling behind. It is about being restored.
Because if you are going to go the distance in homeschooling, you must be healthy enough to carry it.
“June” is part of a series Encouragement for the Seasons of Homeschooling. Mama Annie shares openly that she needed to “renew her mind” daily using a daily devotional discipline.
These powerful, sometimes emotional short entries will bring the reader into her world of Hospice nursing, homeschooling and a sadly deteriorating marriage. Despite hardship, you will find resilience and a conviction that ALL her dreams have come true.
At 70 years old she shares a life well lived intimately with you.
