A man plants a willow tree and a jujube tree and declares they will be friends. But when Jujube doesn't sprout leaves, Willow shows off his own shiny leaves and teases Jujube. Then one day, Jujube sprouts tiny leaves of his own and from those leaves grows a surprise. Will Willow and Jujube be able to see past their differences and become friends?

Youjun Sun is known for his fairy tales. He has published more than twenty story books and was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 1990.
Shifang Zhu has been working on oil paintings and illustrations for picture books for many years. Many of his paintings are collected by overseas art galleries.
