For Individuals and Small Groups This seven-session guide is designed for those just beginning their faith journey as well as those who want to dive deeper into the Scriptures during Lent. The Evangelical Catholic ministry, which created the guide and has field experience on both college campuses and in parishes, has written insightful discussion questions on the Mass readings that draw participants into a personal relationship with the Lord. Each session has a "Connection to the Cross" section that encourages readers to continue their Scripture reading and prayer throughout the week. Guides for both facilitators and participants ensure a successful small-group experience. "One of the most important aspects of forming people in their faith is figuring out how to actually engage their minds to think about the meaning and implications of Scripture so they can act upon it. The Evangelical Catholic ministry has figured it out. They ask perceptive questions that draw people into active consideration of the passage and encourage discussion." —Rich Cleveland, founder of Emmaus Journey Catholic evangelization and discipleship ministry and author of several best-selling Bible studies. Follows the Mass readings in year 2017, 2020, and 2023
