Freedom didn’t fall in a single day.
It tightened—quietly, efficiently, and without mercy.
Beneath twin moons, a shattered resistance hides in a forest that seems to remember every step taken beneath its branches. Rix, once a fortress leader and now a fugitive, is holding what remains of her people together after a fragile truce with their enemy—the Iron Veil.
The Veil doesn’t rule through chaos or terror.
It rules through order, containment, and the slow erasure of choice.
When Rix’s scouts uncover ancient ruins buried deep in the forest—and encounter a mysterious stranger who admits he is watching rather than helping—she realizes their fight is being measured by forces far larger than the Veil itself. Every act of mercy becomes data. Every attempt at restraint teaches the system where to apply pressure next.
As patrols tighten and civilians begin to disappear behind checkpoints and “processing,” Rix faces an impossible truth: surviving clean may no longer be possible. But becoming what she fights could destroy everything she’s trying to save.
The Iron Veil is a gripping teen science‑fantasy novel about resistance under surveillance, leadership under impossible pressure, and the cost of standing still in a world designed to close around you.
For readers who love thoughtful YA fantasy, morally complex choices, and worlds where survival is never simple.
