After a hurricane tears open the ground on Morrow Cay, a buried nineteenth-century complex emerges beneath a modern construction site.
Inside is a ledger.
It records no goods.
It records people.
NAME. CONDITION. USE. VALUE. BUYER. DISPOSITION.
Caleb Kerrick, the commercial director responsible for the site, expects an archaeological problem. Instead, he discovers a system that has survived for generations-one capable of turning contracts, debts, employment, family ties, and ordinary bureaucracy into something far more dangerous.
Then a worker disappears.
Not only from the island, but from records, photographs, and the memories of the people who knew him.
As Caleb follows the ledger's history, he uncovers a hidden institution built around a terrifying principle: if a person can be classified, valued, and assigned on paper, the world itself may begin to obey the classification.
And Caleb's family is already part of the account.
The Inventory is a literary horror novel about bureaucracy, inherited power, and the moment a system designed to record human beings begins deciding what they are worth.

Acerca del autor
Blake Hollow is a bestselling author of adult horror, known for dark, relentless stories that push ordinary people into places where fear becomes physical, supernatural, and impossible to escape.
His fiction moves through haunted landscapes, isolated communities, forbidden places, violent rituals, ancient presences, human cruelty, and the terrifying consequences of disturbing what should have remained buried. Hollow combines psychological dread with visceral horror, creating stories where tension builds slowly before erupting into brutality, blood, and confrontation with the impossible.
His novels are written unapologetically for adults, with mature characters, intense violence, sexuality, death, and disturbing imagery forming part of worlds where survival is never guaranteed and evil rarely arrives in a recognizable form.
Blake Hollow writes horror meant to unsettle, disturb, and stay with the reader long after the final page.
