Introducing Geology (2nd Edition)

Professor Ager's book is intended to introduce geology to the educated reader, and takes the form of a simplified and nontechnical account of what has been discovered about the evolution, through hundreds pf millions of years, of that part of the earth's crust which is now Britain. The basic principles of geology are introduced as they fit into the story, and other parts of the world are discussed when they illustrate special points.
