Paperback. You are not stuck. You are repeating. That distinction changes everything about how change actually happens. Intentional by Design examines why understanding a pattern rarely stops it, why willpower fails at the exact moment it is needed most, and why a habit you have spent years condemning has actually been solving a real problem the whole time, just not the one you would choose.Alavida walks through what a pattern actually is: a sequence with a beginning most people never see, running faster than conscious thought and confirmed every time it completes unnoticed. From there the book builds a different approach entirely. Not more discipline, but earlier awareness, deliberate friction, and a way of altering a pattern while it runs instead of trying to defeat it before it starts. This is not a productivity book, and it does not promise a finished version of you waiting on the other side. It is a close, patient look at how repetition becomes identity, and at the much smaller, much more available thing that actually changes it: noticing, slightly sooner than you noticed it last time. For readers tired of resolutions that do not survive January, ready to understand the actual mechanics of their own behavior. You are not stuck. You are repeating.
That distinction changes everything about how change actually happens. Intentional by Design examines why understanding a pattern rarely stops it, why willpower fails at the exact moment it is needed most, and why a habit you have spent years condemning has actually been solving a real problem the whole time, just not the one you would choose.
Alavida walks through what a pattern actually is: a sequence with a beginning most people never see, running faster than conscious thought and confirmed every time it completes unnoticed.
