In Release 17, the third-generation partnership project (3GPP) proposed the standardization of NTN to allow 5G-based TN to support NTN. Similar to the Global Positioning System (GPS), signals based on NTN are unable to provide indoor coverage, as these signals are attenuated and scattered by roofs, walls, etc. Moreover, power and delay are critical factors that restrict a cellular-enabled mobile handset from achieving reliability, seamless coverage, and low latency while relying on NTN. This book has brought together multidisciplinary contributors in the field of wireless/satellite communications to identify and present technical challenges and recent results related to the design of energy-efficient, delay-tolerant, and enhanced coverage-based integrated TN and NTN. Acerca del autor
Muhammad Ali Jamshed received a Ph.D. degree from the University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K, in 2021. He has been with the University of Glasgow, UK since 2021. He is also affiliated with University of Sussex as visiting Research Fellow, since 2022. He is endorsed by Royal Academy of Engineering under exceptional talent category and was nominated for Departmental Prize for Excellence in Research in 2019 and 2020 at the University of Surrey. He is a Fellow of Royal Society of Arts, a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of Higher Education Academy UK, and an Associate Editor of IEEE Sensor Journal and IEEE IoT Magazine. He has more than 50 publications in top tier international journals, including IEEE Transactions and Magazines, flagship IEEE COMSOC conferences, such as ICC, VTC, INFOCOM, WCNC, etc. He is an editor of 4 books on topics related to Low exposure EMF devices, multimodal sensing applications, non-terrestrial networks and Green and Sustainable IoT. He is a founding member of IEEE Workshop on Sustainable and Intelligent Green Internet of Things. Moreover, he served as a TPC, and the workshop General Chair, at many well-known conferences, i.e., ICC, WCNC, VTC, GlobeCom etc., and other scientific workshops.
Ali Nauman received the M.Sc. degree in wireless communications from the Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan, Republic of Korea, in 2022. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science, Yeungnam University. He has contributed to five patents and authored/co authored five book chapters and more than 75 technical articles in leading journals and peer-reviewed conferences. Dr. Nauman has also edited two books and serves as an editor and a reviewer of highly reputed journals and conferences.

Derecho al desistimiento

Derecho legal de desistimiento
Tiene derecho a rescindir este contrato en un plazo de 14 días sin dar ningún motivo.
El periodo de desistimiento vencerá a los 14 días desde que usted, o un tercero que no sea el transportista e indicado por usted, adquiera la posesión física del último bien o del último lote o pieza.
Para ejercer el derecho de desistimiento, complete de forma electrónica y envíe una declaración clara en nuestro sitio web, desde "Mis compras" en "Mi cuenta". Le enviaremos sin demora un acuse de recibo de dicho desistimiento a través de un soporte duradero (por ejemplo, por correo electrónico).
Para cumplir con el plazo de desistimiento, basta con que envíe su comunicación relativa al ejercicio del derecho de desistimiento antes de que venza el periodo de desistimiento.
Efectos del desistimiento
Si rescinde este contrato, le reembolsaremos todos los pagos que hayamos recibido de usted, incluidos los gastos de envío (excepto los gastos adicionales que surjan si elige un tipo de envío que no sea el tipo de envío estándar más económico que ofrecemos).
Podemos hacer una deducción del reembolso por la pérdida de valor de cualquier bien suministrado, si la pérdida es el resultado de una manipulación innecesaria por su parte.
Efectuaremos el reembolso sin demoras indebidas y, a más tardar, 14 días después de que se nos informe de su decisión de rescindir este contrato.
Efectuaremos el reembolso utilizando el mismo medio de pago que utilizó para la transacción inicial, a menos que haya acordado expresamente lo contrario; en cualquier caso, no incurrirá en ningún cargo como resultado de dicho reembolso.
Podremos retener el reembolso hasta que hayamos recibido los bienes o hasta que nos haya presentado una prueba de que los ha devuelto, lo que ocurra primero.
Deberá devolver los bienes o entregarlos a BuchWeltWeit Ludwig Meier e.K., Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, sin demoras indebidas y, en cualquier caso, en un plazo máximo de 14 días a partir del día en que nos comunique su desistimiento del presente contrato. El plazo se cumple si devuelve la mercancía antes de que venza el periodo de 14 días. Tendrá que asumir los gastos directos de devolución de los bienes. Usted solo es responsable de la disminución del valor de los bienes como resultado de una manipulación distinta a la necesaria para establecer la naturaleza, las características y el funcionamiento de los bienes.
Excepciones al derecho de desistimiento
El derecho de desistimiento no se aplica a lo siguiente:
- La entrega de periódicos, diarios o revistas, con la excepción de los contratos de suscripción; y
- El suministro de contenido digital que no se proporcione en un soporte tangible (por ejemplo, en un CD o DVD) si, al hacer el pedido, aceptó que podíamos empezar a entregarlo y que no podría desistir una vez iniciada la entrega.
