Sophia Crane has spent her entire life plotting revenge against the Thornfield empire that destroyed her family thirty years ago. But when William Thornfield dies suddenly, Alex finds himself thrust into a role he never sought-protecting a legacy he's not sure he believes in. Then comes the bombshell that changes everything. William's will forces these brilliant adversaries to co-run Thornfield Enterprises for one year-or lose a $2.3 billion empire to charity. Sophia sees it as the perfect opportunity for revenge from the inside. Alex sees it as his father's final manipulation from beyond the grave. Neither expects Victoria Sterling-the most dangerous corporate raider in America-to launch a hostile takeover that will test every assumption they have about business, family, and each other. As Sterling's assault escalates from financial pressure to criminal intimidation-including murder-Sophia and Alex are forced into an alliance that will either save them both or destroy everything they've worked for. But the deeper they dig into their families' shared past, the more they uncover shocking secrets that will shatter everything they thought they knew about love, loyalty, and the true price of power. Some partnerships are worth fighting for, whatever the cost. In a world where corporate raiders will stop at nothing, where family legacies hang in the balance, and where love might be the only strategy powerful enough to win the ultimate battle, Sophia and Alex must decide whether their fathers' sins will define their future-or whether they can build something stronger than the forces trying to tear them apart. Sometimes the most powerful strategy is love itself. A pulse-pounding contemporary romance that combines corporate intrigue with sizzling chemistry, family secrets with high-stakes warfare, and enemies-to-lovers tension that will leave you breathless until the very last page. When love becomes the ultimate corporate strategy
What happens when your greatest enemy becomes your only salvation?
Sophia Crane has spent her entire life plotting revenge against the Thornfield empire that destroyed her family thirty years ago. Armed with an MBA from Wharton and a burning desire for justice, she's built her career around one singular goal: bringing down the man who betrayed her father's trust and drove him to an early grave.
Alexander Thornfield never wanted to inherit his father's corporate kingdom. Despite his Harvard MBA and natural business acumen, he'd rather focus on environmental initiatives than ruthless acquisitions. But when William Thornfield dies suddenly, Alex finds himself thrust into a role he never sought—protecting a legacy he's not sure he believes in.
Then comes the bombshell that changes everything.
William's will forces these brilliant adversaries to co-run Thornfield Enterprises for one year—or lose a $2.3 billion empire to charity. Sophia sees it as the perfect opportunity for revenge from the inside. Alex sees it as his father's final manipulation from beyond the grave.
Neither expects Victoria Sterling—the most dangerous corporate raider in America—to launch a hostile takeover that will test every assumption they have about business, family, and each other.
As Sterling's assault escalates from financial pressure to criminal intimidation—including murder—Sophia and Alex are forced into an alliance that will either save them both or destroy everything they've worked for.
But the deeper they dig into their families' shared past, the more they uncover shocking secrets that will shatter everything they thought they knew about love, loyalty, and the true price of power.
Some partnerships are worth fighting for, whatever the cost.
In a world where corporate raiders will stop at nothing, where family legacies hang in the balance, and where love might be the only strategy powerful enough to win the ultimate battle, Sophia and Alex must decide whether their fathers' sins will define their future—or whether they can build something stronger than the forces trying to tear them apart.
Sometimes the most powerful strategy is love itself.
A pulse-pounding contemporary romance that combines corporate intrigue with sizzling chemistry, family secrets with high-stakes warfare, and enemies-to-lovers tension that will leave you breathless until the very last page.
