This little collection of letters also includes correspondence between Peter Luke and Sir Harry Luke while Sir Harry was living in Cyprus. Six letters of Peter Luke addressed to Sir Harry's favourite Island (Cyprus) with much personal but also political detail: 'The Cyprus news is sickening and one hates this .war the more because of ones affection for both, Greeks and Turks' / Peter Luke goes on: 'I hope Khalil is all right. His home is rather exposed I would think. Mike Carver, the new British C-in-C, Cyprus, I knew well in the Western Desert when we were both in Callum's staff. More recently Mike quoted me at some length in his definitive book about El Alamein' [Baron Michael Carver - El Alamein, 1962]. / In another letter Peter Luke talks about his pursuit of a Distribution Deal on the next film in New York etc. / The correspondence Sir Harry kept from Cyprus also includes a telegram by Peter Luke 'Marrying June Tobin Tomorrow 23rd - Hope this has parental blessing - Love to all Friends Kyrenia, Peter' and two letters whose sender we were not able to determine.
