Descripción del artículo del vendedor
362p., 336p. A set of two hardcover books bound in full leather with five raised bands on the spines. Small chips to front covers of both volumes and a larger chip in the rear cover of volume two. Edges worn and crackled; leather of hinges is cracked but covers remain attached. Books should be handled gently. Pages lightly age-toned; a few marginal pencil notes in volume one. Otherwise, text clean. Some wear and flaws but a readable set, nice for its age overall. Works on logic and learning by Isaac Watts, a minister and educator best known for composing such popular hymns as "O God Our Help In Ages Past" and "Joy to the World." Volume two also contains "Discourse on the Education of Children," and "Remnants of Time Employed in Prose and Verse, or Short Essays and Composures in Prose and Verse on Various Subjects.".
