In contemporary boxed calf, some marks, re-tipped, new spine to style, gilt titles to red morocco label, raised bands, blind tooling. Internally, commences A2-A4 kalendar & holy days, A1-C5 the collects etc, C5v-F4 Psalmes, F4v-F6 prayers with 1634 I Bill colophon. The Genealogies [1637] by JS [John Speed 1552?-1629], [2], 34. The Holy Bible, 1634, 29 panels within thick borders, A-A8, 1-582. Apcrypha 583-718. The Whole Booke of Psalmes, 1634, by Thomas Sternhold -1549, Iohn Hopkins -1570, [8], 1-95, [7] prayers with 1634 colophon. 2 columns, black letter per page, many ink notes to margins & pl versos, ink name A.L. Samson Thomas? 1686, John H? Burcon?, & the Tomblin family c1830. Plates possibly from Illustrations for a new family bible, 1805, engraved by CJ Williams some dated 1818.
