Sinopsis:
The simple, yet meaningful, father and son activity becomes the focal point of a children's book entitled, Hey Dad, Let's have a catch. Through the eyes of an only child, the five minute daily catches, in between two jobs his father held, were precious moments and more than a physical activity. A Catch becomes a metaphor for communication between father and son/parent and child as the dynamics of the catch change, sadly end and reborn as the son becomes a father himself. A catch is depicted as a process, a rite of passage and a gift to pass along.
Acerca del autor: A born and raised resident of Brooklyn, New York, Harold was inspired to write Hey Dad to honor his father, a child of the Great Depression. The message is clear. It doesn't take expensive equipment to make a connection with a child. It merely takes time. In Hey Dad, Let's have a Catch, Harold advocates face time with children in an era in which parenting has been redefined as facilitating between children and organized activities. Harold believes we need to stop watching from the sidelines and begin participating with them in a shared experience. Harold has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Wagner College and Masters in Counseling from New York University.
