Paperback. "I used to think that to be profound was to be shaded-that truth was a cold thing found only in the quiet, damp corners of the soul."For a long time, life was lived in the lowlands. It was a world of "lonely kind of beautiful," where the shadows felt like safety and the silence was a mastered art. But the season has shifted. At fifty-two, the sun has reached its zenith, bringing with it a different kind of beauty-one that doesn't hide, but glows with a steady, golden weight. In this collection of forty reflections, author and poet Charlemagne Lim invites you into his "Heavy Noon". It is the story of a man stepping out of the cool moss of the valley to claim a view that is finally his own. It is about the transition from the curated solitude of the past to the vibrant, demanding brilliance of the present-as a father to his son, Nathan, a healer, and a dreamer. The Heavy Kind of Light is an invitation to stop blinking at the brightness and start living in it. It explores the simple, profound truths of a life in full bloom. This is a book for anyone who has ever feared the heat of change. It is a map for those navigating their own middle-day, proving that the most magnificent views are reserved for those who are brave enough to climb out of the shade. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
