CHAPTER 1
The Angels Tell Us Why
* * *
The hospital was very big and beautiful. Everything surrounding this building was deliberately built to bring a feeling of peace to all who entered it including the doctors, nurses, aides, and administrators. Yet, it was a sad hospital because there were no babies born here. The babies that arrived were usually very sick with a virus that seemed to be exploding on the earth plane – it is called cancer. But there is so much love that surrounds these babies and children that one cannot imagine why these children are not cured immediately based on the enormous amount of positive energy that exists within the walls of the hospital. This is the feeling the mother and father experienced as they walked through the front doors of the hospital carrying their seven-year-old little girl. They were very frightened and apprehensive taking their beautiful little girl so far from home. They were comfortable with their doctor back home but the doctor realized the gravity of the situation and convinced the parents they must go to this children's cancer center as soon as possible.
They were warmly welcomed upon entering the hospital and ushered to the fifth floor where their little girl was warmly greeted by several of the nurses. She immediately felt at ease with these loving individuals and was soon smiling and laughing. They carried the little girl around the fifth floor, introducing her to all the other children and then showing her some special rooms with special equipment so she wouldn't be frightened when they had to bring her in for treatments. She was happy to come back around and see her parents waiting for her. She was beginning to think they had gone away and she would never see them again. The nurses sensed that and told her that her mother and father were allowed to stay right there at the hospital with her. She smiled.
The family met with the doctor the following day. The doctor reviewed with them the protocol that was set up for their little one. He was very kind and understanding and stayed with them for as long as they needed so they could wrap their heads around this illness, the procedures their little girl would need to endure and the odds of success for treatment of this type of cancer. Their heads were swimming by the end of this session but they confirmed to the doctor they wanted to proceed. With that, the doctor left, the nurses came in and escorted them back to their little girl's room.
She was proudly sitting on her bed, dressed in her favorite color, purple, and playing with her toys. She looked up and asked her parents if they saw Jehanna in the hallway because she just walked out the door. Her mother said no and then asked if Jehanna was a nurse or one of the other children on the fifth floor. The little girl reported that Jehanna was a beautiful angel. She told her mother that the angel sat on her bed and the two of them had a long talk. She said that the angel asked her if she understood why she was here. The little girl said to her mother 'I told the angel that I suddenly got sick and the doctors told me that I had to go to another hospital so they could see inside me better in order to fix it'. The little girl reported that she told the angel there were a lot of children here and then she saw a tear roll down Jehanna's face – she looked so sad she told her mother. I then asked if she was here all the time – she said yes that God sent her to look after the children and help them with their treatments. Sometimes, she said, she takes them to see God. I asked if she was going to take me – she said no, not now. The little girl continued to ramble on about Jehanna and everything they talked about and how happy she was to know there was a special angel from God in this hospital.
The little girl's mother relayed this information to her husband and they were both happy but puzzled. Why would an angel appear to their daughter, did the other children see and talk to Jehanna. They believed their daughter and wanted to know more. Could this angel give them some answers to their never ending questions – WHY – why our child – what did we do – is this our fault – she is so young – will she survive – cancer in children is not fair at all – maybe now they would gain some insight to this tragedy that struck them so quickly.
The days turned into weeks that turned into months. Jehanna was with the little girl every step of the way – treatments, recovery and even playtime. The little girl knew Jehanna was holding her hand and showering her with love from all the angels in heaven even when she was so sick she could not talk to her parents. She did talk to Jehanna though. She asked Jehanna why this was happening to her – was she bad, did God not like her, did she hurt God? Jehanna wrapped her wings around the little girl and held her tightly. She then explained that the little girl is very special, that God selected her for a very important assignment. In fact, all the children at this hospital are on special assignments from God. You see, Jehanna explained, the cancer virus is increasing in the human population and the researchers are trying very hard to fully understand what the virus is and exactly how it works. You came here with a rare form of cancer and the doctors were able to study you and your cancer and they suddenly saw a part of the cancer process they continuously overlooked. Without knowing this piece of information that you brought to them, they would not be able to advance their knowledge and treatment of the virus. You have helped the doctors very much. All the children here are contributing knowledge to the cancer puzzle. You and all the children here are strong enough to endure this hardship because God selected every one of you. Jehanna also told the little girl that her parents are very special also. God picked them for this hardship to help her through this difficult time on the earth plane. The little girl then asked Jehanna if she would die soon – the answer was yes because she completed her work from God. The little girl then asked why would some of the other children get well and go home? Jehanna answered that their assignment from God was not complete, they must continue on with their life.
The little girl told her parents all that she had learned from Jehanna. She told them she was happy to be God's messenger even though it hurt a lot. Her parents felt relieved and happy for their daughter because she had some meaning to her life and suffering. When the day came for the little girl to go back to God, she told her mother that Jehanna was holding her hand and there were many angels in the room. She also said there were two beautiful angels with their hands on her mother and father's shoulders. She told them not to be afraid, that the angels reported God was very happy and proud of her and that it was time for her to go back and live with God. The little girl told her parents not to cry because the angels told her that she could come visit them every day. She told her parents to look for her. She closed her eyes, told her parents she could hear beautiful music and happily went with the angels.
CHAPTER 2Angels In The Know
* * *
The young man had always known difficult times. Even when he was a child he always seemed to make the wrong decision. He recently remembered the time when he was seven years old and his mother told him to keep his ball in the yard because of the busy street nearby. He heard her but promptly kicked the ball over the fence toward the street. Her words echoed in his ears as he worked feverishly to climb the fence. He still remembers the warnings in his head as he headed for the street and his ride in the ambulance. His mother was crying as she rode with him to the hospital. She was telling him that he had choices to get the ball - to call her to get it or climb the fence. Climbing the fence was the wrong choice. She talked about his angels again as she always did but he didn't want to hear about them any more. They were there with you she said - didn't you hear them or feel them they always try to help you make the right decisions but they can't make you do anything because you have free will. He remembered several times about this free will stuff and he liked that because no one was going to tell him what to do.
As the boy grew into a man, he continuously refused to listen to the feelings in his heart and his life became a chore - everywhere he turned it was wrong - a failed marriage, a complete failure in college, many failed jobs, and many friends who just walked away from him. His health was deteriorating also and he was only 36! What is going on he thought when he was diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and now there is a spot on his lung. Is this what life is all about, he thought. Is this all there is because if that is true - life stinks. The young man continued on believing in his free will and continued making bad life choices. Many signs were sent to him from the angels but he ignored them. He was in his doctor's office and the person next to him just had his toe amputated due to diabetes. The gentleman said he refused to follow the doctor's advice to take care of himself. He looked into the eyes of the young man and said `learn from me - take care of yourself'. The young man said sure but didn't believe anything like that could happen to him - he felt secure in his free will choices concerning his health. Later the young man was eating a very unhealthy meal when an extremely obese man stopped at his table to give him a warning about his diet. Look at me the obese gentleman said - I have just lost 100 pounds and I still feel miserable. The doctors said I must lose 200 more pounds in 6 months or I will die shortly. The young man again refused to believe this could happen to him.
His life continued to spiral downward. As he sat in the hospital chair receiving a chemo infusion for lung cancer, an aide walked up to him, adjusted the IV and stood and looked at him. There is love in this person's eyes, the young man thought. The aide then said very softly to the young man, `will you ever learn, will you ever listen to your heart, will you ever hear your angels'? The young man look quizzically at the aide. Who is this person, he thought, what right does he have to say these things. The aide related the many instances that advice to correct his life was sent to him but he chose to ignore all the messages that were sent to him. Now the young man has come to this - a life full of sadness. He continued to say that life is a joyful event full of challenges, rewards, and happiness. However, life sometimes throws us a curve ball but with the right choices we learn from those experiences and then continue on our journey on a positive note. The aide then told the young man that he knew the young man was proud of his free will gift from God but many times he refused God's help in making his life's choices. He told the young man that angels who are dedicated to guiding him along his life's path always surrounded him. The aide asked the young man if he remembered the man in the office who had his toe amputated due to diabetes? The young man nodded. The aide said that man was an angel. The angel then asked if he remembered the obese man in the restaurant who needed to lose 200 more pounds - the young man nodded again and was told that the obese man was also an angel. The aide continued with many more examples of where angels appeared in his life to help him back on his life's path with God.
The young man listened intently this time and didn't dismiss the aide as someone trying to convert him to some religion. The IV continued to drip slowly and the young man relaxed back and looked at the aide and asked him why he was talking to him like this, why was he saying all these things about his life and how did he know so much. The aide looked into the young man's eyes and told him that he was his guardian angel. `My guardian angel' he exclaimed, `I thought only babies and children had guardian angels'. No, the aide answered, we are with you for life. In fact, sometimes there are many angels working together to help you in a difficult situation. `Do you always appear in human form?' The aide/angel laughed - no, only when the human needs extreme help - but no matter what extremes we take to help, the person still has free will and can choose to ignore us. `So you are my guardian angel - what is your name'? The aide responded, `I am Teulio'. The young man and Teulio talked for several more hours discussing his life. For the first time in his adult life the young man felt true love and happiness. He found an overwhelming love in the presence of Teulio. He decided he wanted to listen to Teulio's advice to turn his life around. Teulio told him that he was exercising free will with this choice. The young man wasn't sure what that meant. Teulio explained that when a situation warranted a choice he could follow his heart, which carried messages from the angels, or he could follow his ego, which is what he wanted. Teulio explained the ego part of his persona could be selfish at times and would make choices for pleasure and fun. To follow one's heart is to follow what is written in one's life plan in heaven. The closer one can stay with that written plan, the easier life will be. Teulio said the angels work to help humans stay as close to their life plan as possible.
The young man smiled and looked at Teulio with tears in his eyes. Do I have a chance or will I die a wasted life, he asked. The young man realized the extreme effort his angel had taken to try to wake him up to life and was extremely grateful. Teulio responded that again the young man had the free will to accept Teulio's help or continue with his present lifestyle. This time the young man stated that he wanted to follow his written life plan and to accept help from Teulio and all the angels. Teulio smiled and said he would be with him every step of the way that it may be difficult at times but he would be there and would send him signs that he and the angels were with him. Look for us, Teulio said, you will see us.
The young man left the hospital with a smile on his face and an angel's song in his heart.
CHAPTER 3Angels of the Oceans
* * *
The whale was swimming gracefully in the deep ocean when suddenly he began to feel disoriented, dizzy. He tried to hone in on the currents he was traveling but couldn't get good readings. He felt himself losing control of direction and started to be captured by the tide. He felt this happening but seemed totally unable to fight it. He was able to swim so he tried even harder to gain control of direction. His struggle continued for days then weeks. He wasn't advancing as he should and he felt he was losing the battle completely. The tide was becoming stronger and stronger moving him in and out and slowly closer to the shore. Eventually, he just couldn't fight it any more - he felt so disoriented. What was happening to him, he thought. How can this be - I am so strong and no human has ever injured me - I just don't understand. Are there others in the sea who feel the same way? As he floated in the deep ocean, he looked around but couldn't focus on any of the other whales near him. But, he thought, if they are here staying around this area and not moving on as they should, maybe they are affected also by this strange feeling. He tried to communicate with them but he was weak and could not project his voice. He took comfort that he was not alone but depressed that something in this beautiful ocean was attacking him and all the other whales in this region.
The young couple was walking along the ocean shore when they came across a whale lying on the beach near the water. Look at this the young man exclaimed - a beautiful whale. But whales are usually in the deep ocean. What happened??? The whale was still alive so something caused it to swim off-course from its built-in radar system, the young man explained to his wife. This has been happening a lot lately and in all parts of the world, he said. The whale appeared to be breathing. He wanted to get closer to the whale so the couple walked up to the whale, frightened at first because of its enormous size, but felt comfort when they looked into the whale's eyes. The whale's eyes were kind and full of love. The couple put their arms around the beached whale and told the whale that they would help him if that is what he wanted. It looked like the whale smiled at them but of course how does a whale smile. They just felt that the answer to help him was yes. So the young couple contacted the authorities about the whale on the beach.
As the couple stood by the whale waiting for the authorities, a young man suddenly appeared near the whale. The young couple did not see him approaching but decided they were not paying attention. The young man walked around the whale assessing the external as well as internal status of the whale. The whale seemed to stir and become a little more alert each time the young man touched the whale. The young couple asked if the young man was from the federal agency they had contacted. The young man smiled and said no but that he knew whales very well. In fact he knew every whale in the oceans and he was appointed to look after them. The young couple asked if he was with the university - he answered no. He then went to the whale and seemed to be talking to it. The young couple was baffled but stayed quiet and watched. The young man looked deeply into the whale's eyes to communicate. The whale appeared to get agitated then quieted down with the young man softly stroking its head. The whale suddenly became excited and happy looking directly at the young man. The young man nodded his head and the whale then gently closed its eyes. What was going on, the young couple asked. What happened? The young man slowly turned to the young couple with tears in his eyes and said he was here to escort the whale back to God. The young couple just stared realizing they were talking to an angel.
