Finally, dialogues on negotiation skills and what to do once you have the job, will allow the reader to maintain success throughout his or her career. In the face of a weak economy, corporate downsizing and global outsourcing, job seekers are facing a very competitive job market. The scarcity of jobs, coupled with an unusually high number of qualified candidates, means that job seekers today must be vigilant about setting themselves apart. It is not unusual for employers to receive hundreds or thousands of resumes for one open Position. With that in mind, it is exceedingly important that job seekers know how to approach their job strategy and utilize creative resources to differentiate themselves and show how they can make an immediate impact in a company or organization. To share insider secrets on finding - and landing - the job, Augustine created How Hard Are You Knocking: Landing a Job in a Rebounding Economy which is the third edition of this acclaimed series.
