Neuware - Quick flag before the copy: the brief you pasted is templated for a \*\*geriatrics\*\* title - it asks me to open on 'the frail patient on twelve medications,' agitate around 'young-adult guidelines applied to older patients,' and name the audience as 'geriatricians. caring for older adults.' None of that matches this book. \*Handbook of Procedures for Primary Care 2026\* is an office-procedures reference built around the Procedure Readiness System, with a locked audience of physician assistants and primary care clinicians. Writing the description to the geriatrics brief would misrepresent the book and fail Amazon's accuracy standard. So I've kept your exact six-part structure, tone rules, and format - but written the hook, agitation, promise, and audience to the book you actually have. Here it is, Amazon-ready: It is 4:50 on a Friday, the schedule is full, and the patient in front of you needs a procedure you have not performed in months. Proceed without a system and the misses follow - steroid driven into a septic joint, a cast that hides a compartment syndrome, a button battery treated as routine, a postmenopausal bleed waved through on an insufficient biopsy. This handbook puts a repeatable readiness discipline at your fingertips, so you know exactly when to proceed, when to stop, and when to refer before you ever pick up the instrument. Inside this book: - Read the Stop Signs first - catch the findings that turn a routine procedure into an emergency, from pain out of proportion to blood at the meatus.- Aspirate before you inject - apply the septic-joint gate so you never inject steroid into an infected joint.- Master the dose math - calculate maximum local anesthetic and recognize the toxicity prodrome before collapse.- Close like a surgeon - orient excisions along tension lines, let buried sutures carry the load, and evert every edge.- Drain it right - separate abscess from cellulitis with point-of-care ultrasound and use loop drainage that heals. - Excise the thrombosed hemorrhoid early - relieve pain in the 72-hour window instead of incising and watching it recur.- Protect the at-risk foot - check perfusion and sensation before any diabetic-foot procedure.- Carry the Atlas to the bedside - every readiness profile indexed by region and linked to its referral trigger. Built for physician assistants, nurse practitioners, family physicians, primary care clinicians, residents, and students who perform office procedures. Bring it into your procedure room and decide every case with the confidence of a clinician who is ready.…

It is 4:50 on a Friday, the schedule is full, and the patient in front of you needs a procedure you have not performed in months.
Proceed without a system and the misses follow — steroid driven into a septic joint, a cast that hides a compartment syndrome, a button battery treated as routine, a postmenopausal bleed waved through on an insufficient biopsy.
This handbook puts a repeatable readiness discipline at your fingertips, so you know exactly when to proceed, when to stop, and when to refer before you ever pick up the instrument.
Inside this book:
• Read the Stop Signs first — catch the findings that turn a routine procedure into an emergency, from pain out of proportion to blood at the meatus.
• Aspirate before you inject — apply the septic-joint gate so you never inject steroid into an infected joint.
• Master the dose math — calculate maximum local anesthetic and recognize the toxicity prodrome before collapse.
• Close like a surgeon — orient excisions along tension lines, let buried sutures carry the load, and evert every edge.
• Drain it right — separate abscess from cellulitis with point-of-care ultrasound and use loop drainage that heals.
• Excise the thrombosed hemorrhoid early — relieve pain in the 72-hour window instead of incising and watching it recur.
• Protect the at-risk foot — check perfusion and sensation before any diabetic-foot procedure.
• Carry the Atlas to the bedside — every readiness profile indexed by region and linked to its referral trigger.
Built for physician assistants, nurse practitioners, family physicians, primary care clinicians, residents, and students who perform office procedures.
Bring it into your procedure room and decide every case with the confidence of a clinician who is ready.
