Excerpt from A Handbook to the Poetry of Rudyard Kipling
My notes follow the order of the poems as they appear in the various volumes in which they have been collected, from Departmental Ditties to Songs from Books. The last pages are devoted to a few poems that appeared originally in Mr. Kipling's prose works but have not yet been collected into volume form. An alphabetical list of titles and a general in dex will be found at the end of the volume.
