nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Twenty-five years ago, Eli Morgan broke her heart and never explained why. When Claire Bennett inherits her late mother's crumbling inn on the Nova Scotia coast, she comes home only to sell it, sign the papers, and leave the past exactly where she left it a quarter-century ago. But her mother kept secrets sealed behind more than one locked door - and someone in Harbor Point wants them to stay buried badly enough to threaten the woman who found them. The one man standing between Claire and whoever is trying to drive her out is the town's chief of police: the boy who once loved her enough to lie to her, and the man who has spent twenty-five years learning exactly what that lie cost them both.As old fires resurface, a fishing fleet's future hangs in the balance, and a threat closes in on everything her mother built, Claire has to decide whether the truth is worth the home she's finally started to want back - and whether some second chances are worth risking everything to keep.Warm, small-town, and quietly suspenseful, Harbor Point Second Chance is a story about the courage it takes to stop protecting the people we love from the truth - and the home that's always waiting on the other side of it.…

Acerca del autor
About the Author
Felix N.BBA.MA.QA'rb. writes fiction that treats ordinary communities as the site of extraordinary moral weight - small towns and mid-sized cities where a single formula, a single silence, or a single inherited decision turns out to carry the whole history of who a place has chosen to protect and who it has chosen to let go quiet.
Felix's work returns often to the same conviction: that injustice rarely announces itself as villainy. It arrives instead as policy, as process, as the reasonable-sounding choice a frightened, well-intentioned person makes under pressure - and that fiction's job is to make that choice visible again, long after the institutions built on top of it have learned to call it normal.
Felix lives close enough to water to never quite stop thinking about what it remembers.
