Sinopsis
About the Book - A Guiding Light: Poems and Reflections
The author speaks to us with words that have not come quickly nor easily. Each poem, each story, each miracle, each blessing and each revelation in A Guiding Light: Poems and Reflections was given to the author by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Over a span of more than 25 years while traveling to 59 countries, the author listened to God and with loving obedience wrote the words to each poem. Poems were written on notebook paper, napkins, paper bags, and even torn cardboard boxes, but one thing was consistent about each writing, they all came as one complete thought.
From the beginning to the end, the words flowed like a river. In this book, you see the heart of the author and her love for the Lord. In a warm and conversational style that is reflective of her childhood in New Bern, North Carolina, the author opens her heart to share miracles, stories of love, hope, joy, and peace in her walk of faith.
Finally, the author shares her faith and stories from her childhood, as well as lessons learned in life, to produce a beautiful, inspirational, and free-verse book of poems. Read along as the author explains her inspiration for each poem in each stand-alone story while giving praises to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The generous amount of white space in the book offers the reader space to write notes of their own. The text is 14-point font assisting those who need large text to read the inspirational and uplifting messages.
