Printed staple bound wraps 16 x 25cm. 21pp. Good - tanned, with some rusted staple residue, and a hard horizontal fold crease. The Committee, chaired by Surgeon Vice-Admiral Sir Sheldon Dudley, was appointed in October 1941 at the request of the Medical Department of the Royal Navy, to examine the conditions Naval and RAF personnel may face after loss of ships or aircraft, and make recommendations for them when adrift in boats or rafts, or isolated in the desert. This document therefore includes practical advice on routine preparations and precautions, action in emergency, abandoning ship, procedure in lifeboat, treatment of sick and wounded, lifeboat ailments, steps towards rescue, and treatment after rescue.
