In a land divided by war, the sudden appearance of two Arinthians could bring about peace.

In Guardians of Aranor by David J. Neumaier, meet Horus and Drocan, two powerful beings born of ancient elemental magic, who find themselves recruited by opposing sides of a relentless conflict.

The two become pawns in a years-long war that tests their beliefs, challenges their loyalties, and ultimately forces them to question what they hold dear.

Horus joins forces with the Kingdom of Haven, a nation historically cruel towards his kind, while Drocan is drafted into the Army of Ubel, an undead force that seeks to maintain control over the fallen city of Aranor.

As the story of Guardians of Aranor unfolds, Horus and Drocan discover the true nature of their powers, their destinies bound to the fates of their respective kingdoms. The pair must navigate dealings with treacherous kings and fragile alliances while seeking their own paths to peace.

As both kingdoms vie for supremacy over the ancient city of Aranor, Horus and Drocan come to the realization that peace is attainable only through the destruction of the other.

In their respective journeys, Horus and Drocan find that the lines between good and evil, duty and independence blur, as the fate of Aranor hangs in the balance.

Lovers of Tolkien, hard magic, and the complexity of justice will find themselves at home in Guardians of Aranor.

David J. Neumaier always aspired to be a writer from a young age, writing of dragons and magic. With his debut novel "Guardians of Aranor: Rebirth," he's begun to make that dream a reality. Though he spent five years of his childhood in Shanghai, China, he calls Oklahoma, "Home." He studied journalism at the University of Missouri and has an MA in Catholic Philosophy from St. Meinrad.
