Does your child feel nervous or scared during thunderstorms?
Grumpy Clouds With Lightning Farts transforms stormy weather into laughter, comfort, and fun!
When storm clouds gather, Malina Monkey and Maila Moose huddle close to Mommy Monkey and Daddy Moose. To ease their fears, Mommy Monkey weaves a whimsical tale about two grumpy clouds—Feortan (Fartin’) and Claptrap—whose lightning farts light up the sky. What once felt scary now becomes hilarious!
After the story, the family turns to a song and calming strategies, helping children discover that even the loudest thunderstorms can be filled with comfort, fun, and connection.
This sensory-friendly children’s book is designed for kids ages 1–18 (and beyond!) who may struggle with anxiety, fear of storms, or sensory processing challenges. With humor, song, and therapeutic tools, it gives children (and caregivers) a new way to face fears.
