Help your child make the transition from elementary arithmetic to confident middle-school math thinking.
Grade 5–6 Math Made Fun gives children 100 hands-on activities designed to strengthen decimals, fractions, multi-digit operations, ratios, rates, percents, early algebra, geometry, measurement, data, and real-world problem-solving skills.
Part of the NumberBloom series, this book helps children understand the math behind the answer through models, number lines, grids, tables, investigations, and everyday situations—not memorization and worksheets alone.
Children are encouraged to represent relationships, estimate, choose strategies, explain their reasoning, check their work, and apply mathematics to real problems.

FOUR PROGRESSIVE LEVELS BUILD SKILLS STEP BY STEP:
LEVEL 1 — WHOLE NUMBERS, DECIMALS & NUMBER RELATIONSHIPS
Explore large numbers, decimals, powers of ten, factors, multiples, estimation, patterns, and numerical expressions.
LEVEL 2 — MULTIPLICATION, DIVISION & FRACTION OPERATIONS
Strengthen multi-digit computation while developing deeper understanding of fraction equivalence, mixed numbers, and fraction operations.
LEVEL 3 — RATIOS, RATES, PERCENTS & EARLY ALGEBRA
Build the important bridge from arithmetic to proportional and algebraic thinking through ratios, unit rates, percents, variables, expressions, and equations.
LEVEL 4 — GEOMETRY, MEASUREMENT, DATA & PROBLEM SOLVING
Apply math through coordinate grids, area, volume, unit conversions, angles, data displays, statistics, and multi-step real-world challenges.
Every activity includes Skills & Goals, Materials, How to Play, Why This Matters, and a NumberBloom Tip, helping parents and educators understand both what children are practicing and why the skill matters.
PERFECT FOR:
• Grade 5 and Grade 6 students
• Homeschool families
• Extra math practice at home
• Parents, teachers, tutors, and caregivers
• Hands-on and visual learners
• Screen-free learning
• Strengthening math confidence
• Preparing for middle-school mathematics
Most activities use simple materials found at home or in the classroom, making meaningful math practice easy to incorporate into everyday learning.
As mathematics becomes more abstract, NumberBloom keeps the focus on understanding. Children learn to connect ideas, represent relationships, choose strategies, question results, and explain why their mathematics works.
Build the skills. Understand the math. Grow the confidence.
Learn It. Build It. Play It. Master It.
