Paperback. When Poppy Hargreaves inherits her great-aunt's ramshackle charity shop in the Cotswolds village of Little Thornbury, she expects dusty donations and questionable knitwear-not a resident ghost with unfinished business. But Theodora Blackwood, a spirited suffragette who died in 1918, isn't your typical haunting. She's charming, opinionated, and determined to solve her own century-old murder. As Poppy sorts through vintage teacups and moth-eaten cardigans, she discovers that Theodora's death is connected to a scandal that still echoes through the village's oldest families. When a prominent local historian turns up dead in suspiciously similar circumstances, Poppy realizes that someone is desperate to keep the past buried-and they'll kill to protect their secrets. With Theodora's ghostly guidance (and her tendency to rearrange merchandise at inopportune moments), Poppy must navigate village politics, suspicious antiques, and her growing attraction to the local vicar's decidedly un-vicar-like brother. Together, the living and the dead form an unlikely detective duo, proving that some friendships transcend the grave.Perfect for fans of Richard Osman and cozy mysteries with a supernatural twist!- A delightfully witty protagonist running a charity shop in the picturesque Cotswolds- A charming suffragette ghost who's equal parts helpful and mischievous- Two intertwined mysteries spanning a century, village secrets, and laugh-out-loud British humorIf you love feel-good mysteries with heart, humor, and a touch of the paranormal, you'll devour this unputdownable cozy.
