Sydney's husband is another source of disquiet. On the outside all seems well. Thomas is a good husband, albeit somewhat detached, and he performs his duties with success. But Sydney is sensing something is at work that she doesn’t understand and begins to attribute issues with Thomas to be at the root of this burgeoning life change she feels coming her way.
Outside of her own marriage issues, Sydney is faced with the confusing aspect of her niece, a fulfilled, buoyant, and vibrant woman who lives according to her own rules and sense of self—as a lesbian in a committed relationship. While Sydney is not at all against gay people, something mysterious about this lifestyle stirs unrelenting fear.
The Ghost of Id is a powerful tale of one woman's burning mission to find answers to a question, the importance of which she is only beginning to understand. Powerful imagery and layered storylines make Maréchal's book an engrossing tale that crosses the genre boundary from suspense thriller to psychological and self-help.

Acerca del autor
S. E. Maréchal was raised in the Southwest. The beauty of its landscape, flora, and fauna is where she developed a deep love for horses, which for her are a great symbol of freedom. The author was relocated to Northern California by her law firm to finish her educational background. It was in this atmosphere where her eyes were opened to the reality of how a false sense of morality, societally imposed restrictions, and patriarchal domination can injure the freedom, passion, and soul of a woman. San Francisco's culture and diversity incited her curiosity about the relationship between gender equality and the constraints of society.
Her suspense novel, The Ghost of Id, was inspired by a pivotal person in Maréchal’s life who challenged the author to step out of the constraints of her socially nurtured vision of expected behavior, morality, and happiness. Maréchal continues to live in Northern California with her family.

El periodo de desistimiento vencerá a los 14 días desde que usted, o un tercero que no sea el transportista e indicado por usted, adquiera la posesión física del último bien o del último lote o pieza.
Para ejercer el derecho de desistimiento, complete de forma electrónica y envíe una declaración clara en nuestro sitio web, desde "Mis compras" en "Mi cuenta". Le enviaremos sin demora un acuse de recibo de dicho desistimiento a través de un soporte duradero (por ejemplo, por correo electrónico).
Para cumplir con el plazo de desistimiento, basta con que envíe su comunicación relativa al ejercicio del derecho de desistimiento antes de que venza el periodo de desistimiento.
Efectos del desistimiento

Deberá devolver los bienes o entregarlos a -OnTimeBooks-, Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A., sin demoras indebidas y, en cualquier caso, en un plazo máximo de 14 días a partir del día en que nos comunique su desistimiento del presente contrato. El plazo se cumple si devuelve la mercancía antes de que venza el periodo de 14 días. Tendrá que asumir los gastos directos de devolución de los bienes. Usted solo es responsable de la disminución del valor de los bienes como resultado de una manipulación distinta a la necesaria para establecer la naturaleza, las características y el funcionamiento de los bienes.
Excepciones al derecho de desistimiento
El derecho de desistimiento no se aplica a lo siguiente:
- La entrega de periódicos, diarios o revistas, con la excepción de los contratos de suscripción; y
- El suministro de contenido digital que no se proporcione en un soporte tangible (por ejemplo, en un CD o DVD) si, al hacer el pedido, aceptó que podíamos empezar a entregarlo y que no podría desistir una vez iniciada la entrega.
