Indufiry of one Age that can rectify and compleat the Ataxie of Geography; nor the work of any one man that of Coins, Weights, and Mafures; lo a well meaning eltay towards both, \i hope will find a Courteous Entertainment from the more judicious and unprejudiced Reader: For [have this, I will not lay to juliify but to excufe at leal't, my bold= nels and forwardnefs, that if I had known thele things to have been but tolerably performed by Others, I had neither troubled my Reader nor m'if-l'pent my own time about the Reétification of them; wherein, although I have again made ma ny Correétions and Amendments, yet that I have made good fome mens Expeétations, and freed them from all defeéts and overfights, neither my Fears nor my Modeliy will permit me to be confi dent oi; (0 that knowing this Work which I have Undertaken, is liable to common Cenfure, I am bold to lhrowd it under your Protection, humbly imploring your kind Reception and Pardon for this my Prefumption for which, and for the excels of many favours,i {hall ever pray for theprofperity of You and Yours andlor ever acknowledge my felf.
