Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - These are the proceedings of the second symposium on Generative and C- ponent-Based Software Engineering that was held in Erfurt, Germany, on - tober 9 12, 2000, as part of the Net. Object Days conference. The GCSE s- posium was born in 1999 at the Smalltalk and Java in Industry and Edu- tion Conference (STJA), the precursor to the Net. Object Days conference. The GCSE symposium grew out of a special track on generative programming that was organized by the working group Generative and Component-Based So- ware Engineering of the Gesellschaft fur Informatik FG 2. 1. 9 at STJA in the two years 1997 and 1998. Special thanks go to Elke Pulvermuller , Andreas Speck, Kai B ollert, Detlef Streitferdt, and Dirk Heuzeroth, who continued the tradition from GCSE 99 and organized a special conference event, the Young Researchers Workshop (YRW). This workshop provided a unique opportunity for young scientists and Ph. D. …
