C J Pohl, the author of upbeat Multicultural children's storybook title: I AM GOING FAR and its Basic English Learning & Fun Activity Booklet. Brief Bio About the Author - Born in the 1970s in South Manchester England, I'm currently a resident of the area today, however, I do love to travel. Vivacious with a magnetic personality of warmth to everyone, I'm an Afro-Caribbean lady that admires and aspires to include my appreciation of - Interracial relationships, other cultures, peace, love, unity, faith and in doing so aims to do things right and inspire children and adults to achieve amazing things! As a creative on many fronts, I create. This journey into writing hasn't been easy, however, in knuckling down as I have in becoming mainly an author, alone I've had to be quick to learn and master various new things. Being a wife and mother of a large family, with children ranging in ages from 24 to 5 years old this has enabled me to come to grips with the needs of children at various ages, therefore, managing to tune in, keep abreast with the times and the things that most children find fun and exciting, I've injected this into my works. Opting to be unconventional and be self-published instead, is due to the deep-rooted trauma associated with having been a victim of bullying not only as a child, by peers and a certain male Teacher, but at various other points of my adult life. As a one-woman band I wrote, edited, formatted, designed, published, built my iamgoingfar.com author website and market from various platforms myself. Having award-winning printers on hand, my book printed on demand and a network of reputable expanded distribution channels throughout the world made available to me, makes me smile - I'm very pleased for their companionship in this journey. Through faith, I'm an optimistic visionary and it's my personal experiences, hopes, dreams and aspirations for greatness in all children, that fuels and motivates me to work as hard as I do. Trying also to start-up what could become a most lucrative business, born out of pooled creativity and extreme resourcefulness brings me to aspire to this goal. Bio of my Freelance Illustrator - Mr Fuad Sy Hassan was written by Author C J Pohl Winning a competition, I had set among 7 different worldwide artists, Fuad came through as the winner! Born in Indonesia this charming young talented man still lives there. Although we've never met or skyped, because he's shy that his broken English won't impress me - though I tried to reassure him that I'll patiently listen, we still haven't spoken face to face yet! When it comes to creatives like him and me, barriers are broken irrespective of the great deal of water separating us, cultural differences etc. He's a man that boldly stretched his imagination with me and this I admire him for that! Having read accepted and signed my NDA etc as he had, along with my written briefs, he tirelessly worked hard on creating my illustrations from my sketches giving me all copyrights on them as was agreed from the start. Paid in full long before, I transformed the illustrations into my amazing book; adding its text, editing, formatting, made its book cover, created its website etc myself. At no time did he know what the book was about, though I told him it will make a world of positive difference to children and their parents throughout the world. He loved that. So now 11th August he awaits receiving the Big Brother Storybook I AM GOING FAR, and he'll see for the first time what he helped me make. Promises are promises he made an agreement with me, therefore, yes, I rightly included his name on the cover. In fairness, I now choose to write this befitting Bio on the man, I'm yet to visit and give a big hug in Thanking him again, for the amazing job he did!
