He has guided many research scholars for their Ph.D. He is a Governing Body Member for several engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. His research interests include Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Genetics Algorithms, Finite Elements Methods, CAD/CAM, Robotics and Characterization of Composite Materials and Manufacturing Technologies.
