Paperback. The Frame Beyond the Mirror: A Hermitage of Absence In a world defined by gilded halls and curated narratives, three figures traverse the labyrinth of the Hermitage-Logos, the seeker of meaning; Psyche, the voice of the interior; and Etouhnav, the painter who wields silence as deftly as his brush. Together they wander through galleries of fractured syntax, stand before doors that open nowhere, measure shadows that refuse dimension, and ascend at last to a rooftop where the sky itself becomes the ultimate, unframed canvas. Part philosophical dialogue, part phenomenological exploration, The Frame Beyond the Mirror is a profound meditation on perception, authorship, and the fragile architectures of meaning. Here, sentences fracture under the weight of time, silence signs its name upon the sky, and the most powerful creations are those that remain unspoken-residing in the delicate space between being and becoming. Drawing on the deconstructive insights of Derrida, the contemplative emptiness of Buddhist sunyata, and the radical humility of art that dares to leave nothing, this work invites the reader to become a participant in its ever-unfolding canvas. It is a testament to the beauty of the un-manifested, the courage to inhabit uncertainty, and the quiet revelation that sometimes the breath before the word is the most eloquent statement of all. For those willing to step beyond the mirror's edge, this is not merely a book-it is an open space, waiting to be seen, to be thought, to be lived. Dr. Cor P.M. van Houte is a painter and art theorist who moves along the edges of perception. This item is printed on demand. In a world defined by gilded halls and curated narratives, three figures traverse the labyrinth of the Hermitage—Logos, the seeker of meaning; Psyche, the voice of the interior; and Etouhnav, the painter who wields silence as deftly as his brush.
Here, sentences fracture under the weight of time, silence signs its name upon the sky, and the most powerful creations are those that remain unspoken—residing in the delicate space between being and becoming.
Drawing on the deconstructive insights of Derrida, the contemplative emptiness of Buddhist śūnyatā, and the radical humility of art that dares to leave nothing, this work invites the reader to become a participant in its ever-unfolding canvas. It is a testament to the beauty of the un-manifested, the courage to inhabit uncertainty, and the quiet revelation that sometimes the breath before the word is the most eloquent statement of all.
For those willing to step beyond the mirror’s edge, this is not merely a book—it is an open space, waiting to be seen, to be thought, to be lived.
