Small 8vo. Green cloth with ivory and black lettering and ivory, black and khaki pictorial stamping. vi, 235pp, (4pp ads). Tissue-guarded frontispiece, 3 full-page plates. Very good. Mild edgewear, mainly at spine, which is a tad age toned and rubbed; 1908 nonauthorial gift inscription on front flyleaf. Excellent and tight first edition of the first volume in the 4-volume "Boy Hunters Series," with this title only listed in ad at rear. Scarce in first edition in nice condition. Superb front board graphic shows two uniform-clad young men, rifles in hand and dog in tow, in a wooded setting heading out after a deer.
