Neuware - 'Fort Apache' is structured in a way that intersperses McMahon's personal reflections and professional experiences with the broader narrative of Miami's crime scene and notorious American criminals. This duality effectively sets the stage for understanding the chaotic environment that fostered the likes of Ben Kramer-a figure within the drug smuggling and powerboat racing communities. McMahon's narrative is both engaging and informative, filled with historical context that enriches the reader's understanding of the events and characters involved. Events that were relayed to the public in news media and Hollywood movies are seen through the lens of a hardworking federal probation officer and investigator, giving the reader an inside view of the American Justice System and true crime history. Rory McMahon's new book, FORT APACHE tells the story of one man's journey to that goal. From New York's probation department to Florida's organized crime ridden streets, this is a tale of perseverance and guile. It is a testimony to his dedication, resolve and determination that brought him to that end. In spite of having to work with notorious criminals and against corrupt systems, McMahon has forged ahead to become a well-reputed and celebrated professional. I am proud to call him a colleague.
