Depuis l'invention du ready-made dans les années 1910, lorsque des objets d'usage courant ont été déclarés objets d'art, il n'est plus possible de différencier d'emblée art et quotidien et cette distinction dépend dans une large mesure du contexte. Avec la présentation officielle de ready-mades et leur appropriation par le pop-art dans les années 1960 - une période de grande prospérité économique - le design de produits et publicitaire a considérablement accru son influence sur l'art. Et les esthétiques que nous connaissons de notre quotidien elles aussi ont modifié en profondeur l'art, notamment au niveau de son contenu. Il n'est quasiment plus envisageable de considérer l'art sans les interdépendances réciproques du système d'exploitation art et son évolution au sein de la société de consommation. Le microsystème art est devenu, avec l'appropriation de biens de consommation, la zone de conflit entre matériel et matérialisme, faisant des oeuvres d'art de véritables objets-fétiches. Ces interdépendances réciproques sont le point de départ de l'exposition et du livre " La Forme importe, la matière forme " qui paraît à cette occasion avec des oeuvres de Marcel Duchamp à aujourd'hui.
Acerca del autor: Lynn Kost was from 2004 to 2011 artistic director of the Fumetto - International Comix Festival in Lucerne, before he moved to the Swiss Museum Allerheilingen in Schaffhausen and to Bü ndner Kunstmuseum Chur. Here he curated in 2018 the show " Always Different, Always the Same" . Lynn Kost has since moved to Kunstmuseum Winterthur, where he is now responsible for the program of contemporary art. Lynn Kost was from 2004 to 2011 artistic director of the Fumetto - International Comix Festival in Lucerne, before he moved to the Swiss Museum Allerheilingen in Schaffhausen and to Bü ndner Kunstmuseum Chur. (Stuttgart, 1968) is a German art historian and professor at the University of Vienna. He studied painting at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Kü nste Karlsruhe between 1988 and 1989 and art history, philosophy and modern German literature at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universitä t Freiburg between 1989 and 1995. Egenhofer then completed his doctorate in art history at the University of Basel, where he worked as a research assistant between 2005 and 2007 and was Laurenz Professor of Contemporary Art until 2011.
