Ilsa Wong is a Faculty member in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Lethbridge. Originally from Toronto, she completed her BSc (Co-op) Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo and her BEd. at the University of Toronto before completing her MSc. at the University of Oregon. Ilsa's interest in wellness and physical activity was piqued while a Graduate Teaching Fellow at the UO working with students in the required first-year course on that very topic. Since then, she has taught close to 3000 students about the dimensions of wellness and the ways in which we can incorporate healthy, positive lifestyle habits into our everyday lives.
Thomas D. Fahey (Ed.D.,University of California, Berkeley) is Professor of Kinesiology at California State University, Chico, where he teaches Exercise Physiology and Principles of Strength and Conditioning. In addition to writing college textbooks and trade books on exercise physiology, wellness, and athletic training, he has written hundreds of articles for scholarly journals and popular magazines and is a contributing editor and writer for several fitness magazines. A volunteer assistant coach with the track and field team at Chico, he is a world-class masters discus thrower and has won many international awards and medals. He is a former competitor in powerlifting, highland games, alpine skiing, and tennis.
Walton T. Roth, M.D., is Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and Chief of the Psychiatric Consultation Service at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. He is author of over 150 research articles about how the body reacts to stress and psychological disorders. His clinical specialties are the treatment of anxiety disorders and psychiatric consultation in the general hospital.
Paul Insel, Ph.D. is Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He has been the principal investigator of numerous NIH studies involving health education, mental health, blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and nutrition. He has authored 14 books and more than 100 articles.
