"This book will show you that learning to read guitar music can be fun. It's for beginning as well as advanced guitarists who are looking for a painless and fun way to learn to read music. Whether alone or in a group, with a private teacher or in self-study, many musicians will enjoy and have fun with the up-to-date songs found in this book. Each song includes preparatory exercises, and melody, bass, and solo versions. As rhythm usually presents a bigger challenge than finding the right pitch when reading music, each of these 12 songs has a main, rhythmical focus that continues throughout the entire piece. On the CD, you can hear the melody in the first version of every song, and accompaniment alone in the second version."
