Descripción del artículo del vendedor

VERY GOOD, no marks in text. No dust jacket as issued. Includes 2 newspaper articles on the book published by the Marietta Daily Journal. No marks in text. Binding is tight and square. From the library of Federal Judge Samuel Sibley. 91 pages : illustrations ; 28 cm. . . . . A privately published hardcover history produced by the Marietta Town Committee (NSCDA-GA) itself to mark the group?s centennial. Compiled by members including Robert Thomas Sessions, William Roy Tap, and others, the 91-page volume is illustrated with black-and-white photographs and one color plate; each page is printed on only one side of the sheet. It traces the organization?s origins from informal gatherings of the ?Marietta Circle? beginning in 1902 through its formal establishment in 1912 by ten certified members of the Georgia Society, and continues the narrative of activities and leadership up to approximately 2012. The book documents the committee?s ongoing work in historic preservation, patriotism, and education in Marietta and Cobb County, Georgia, while highlighting the contributions of notable local women who belonged to this lineage society. As a commemorative local-history volume rather than a commercial trade title, it serves primarily as an archival record for members, descendants, and researchers interested in the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America and women?s civic organizations in early- to mid-twentieth-century Georgia.…
