Filburt Feels a Photon introduces the concepts of light, space, and time to children (and their adults!) in a fun and whimsical way. As Filburt (the curious horse) and his dedicated caretaker, Ray, take their daily walk in the sunshine, they engage in an amusing and educational dialogue. With a fluidly rhyming narrative, and wonderfully compelling illustrations, curious young readers will be able to revel in these concepts without the need to understand complex equations. Even as it entertains, Filburt Feels a Photon will inspire curiosity - exposing young readers to concepts from the world of Quantum Physics while their young imaginations are still wide open to amazing possibilities.

L.E. Doue received a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Santa Clara University in 1986. Her love of Physics, and all of its interesting concepts, has remained with her through her work in technology and art alike. She continues to explore interesting ways to share the wonder of science with children and young adults. She believes that the study of light, in particular, is especially important to so many areas of technology today.
