Arnold Gesell was head of the Psycho-Clinic and later of the Clinic of Child Development at the Yale School of Medicine from 1911 to 1948. Some of his former collaborators founded the Gesell Institute for Child Development in 1950 in New Haven to carry on his work. Frances Lillian Ilg was an American pediatrician and professor at Yale University. She was an expert in infant and child development, as co-founder and director of the Gesell Institute of Child Development. PROVENANCE: William Wiess Belford, MD (1897-1978), took his MD degree at Johns Hopkins in 1922. He served as the 30th president of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He worked at Mercy Children's Hospital, then the University of California San Diego Hospital, Pediatrics. Belford gave this book to Frederick A. Frye.…
