“A Farm in Normandy and the Return to the Farm” contains two books written by Mrs Robert Henrey, each of which recounts her personal experiences living in France during the early twentieth century. They primarily deal with the purchase of her Normandy farm and her Family’s relocation during WWII, as well as her mother’s return to the farm following the end of the war. Henry’s vivid depiction of rural life, local people, and the traumatic effects of the war are masterful, and make this book a must-read for those with an interest in this period of history. Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in a modern, high-quality edition complete with the original text and artwork.
