Paperback. What happens when you are doing everything right - and everything still falls apart? She was praying. She was believing. She was faithful. And her life was still dismantling itself - the career, the finances, the health, the relationships - in ways that had no natural explanation and no visible end. From the outside, it looked like a woman whose life was not working out. From the inside, it was a war nobody could see. A Fall from Grace: Finding Purpose in the Pit is the raw, honest and ultimately triumphant memoir of Akeelia Thompson - a Jamaican woman who lost everything, survived what was sent to silence her, and discovered that purpose is not cancelled by the pit. With a foreword by Dr. Winston Thompson, President of the Jamaica Theological Seminary, this debut memoir carries both the weight of personal testimony and the endorsement of one of the Caribbean's most distinguished theological voices. This book covers: The reality of spiritual warfare and what it actually looks like in everyday lifeThe gap between active faith and difficult circumstances - and what God is doing in itSupernatural encounters that reveal how closely Heaven watches over a marked lifeThe turning point of full surrender and what comes after itThe slow, faithful process of healing, identity restoration and purpose activationThe journey of becoming - continuous, intentional and never truly finishedWritten in a warm, direct and distinctly Caribbean voice, this book speaks to the person who has been in church their whole life and is privately carrying something they cannot explain. It holds spiritual warfare and mental health in the same hand without diminishing either. And it closes not with a triumphant arrival but with a woman still becoming - and an invitation to the reader to step into their own. This book is for you if: Your life is falling apart, and you cannot explain whyYou have received a word about your purpose and immediately watched everything go wrongYou have been on your floor privately, and nobody knewYou sense a calling, but the season you are in has made you question everythingYou are standing at the edge of something, and you are afraid to step into itYou did not fall away from grace. You fell into a deeper dimension of it. And grace - relentless, patient, pursuing - is not finished yet.ForewordThe foreword to A Fall from Grace was written by Dr. Winston Thompson, President of the Jamaica Theological Seminary. Dr. Winston Thompson is one of Jamaica's most respected theological voices - an educator, leader and scholar who has devoted his life to the formation of faith, the development of Christian thought and the equipping of the next generation of ministry leaders across the Caribbean and beyond. As President of the Jamaica Theological Seminary, he brings the weight of academic rigour, pastoral wisdom and decades of spiritual leadership to his endorsement of this work. His foreword sets the theological and personal context for a book that speaks as powerfully to the mind as it does to the spirit. This item is printed on demand. She was praying. She was believing. She was faithful.
And her life was still dismantling itself — the career, the finances, the health, the relationships — in ways that had no natural explanation and no visible end.
From the outside, it looked like a woman whose life was not working out.
From the inside, it was a war nobody could see.
A Fall from Grace: Finding Purpose in the Pit is the raw, honest and ultimately triumphant memoir of Akeelia Thompson — a Jamaican woman who lost everything, survived what was sent to silence her, and discovered that purpose is not cancelled by the pit.
With a foreword by Dr. Winston Thompson, President of the Jamaica Theological Seminary, this debut memoir carries both the weight of personal testimony and the endorsement of one of the Caribbean's most distinguished theological voices.
This book covers:
- The reality of spiritual warfare and what it actually looks like in everyday life
- The gap between active faith and difficult circumstances — and what God is doing in it
- Supernatural encounters that reveal how closely Heaven watches over a marked life
- The turning point of full surrender and what comes after it
- The slow, faithful process of healing, identity restoration and purpose activation
- The journey of becoming — continuous, intentional and never truly finished
Written in a warm, direct and distinctly Caribbean voice, this book speaks to the person who has been in church their whole life and is privately carrying something they cannot explain. It holds spiritual warfare and mental health in the same hand without diminishing either. And it closes not with a triumphant arrival but with a woman still becoming — and an invitation to the reader to step into their own.
This book is for you if:
- Your life is falling apart, and you cannot explain why
- You have received a word about your purpose and immediately watched everything go wrong
- You have been on your floor privately, and nobody knew
- You sense a calling, but the season you are in has made you question everything
- You are standing at the edge of something, and you are afraid to step into it
