THE FALL FROM GRACE
The Breaking Point
Alistair Penhaligon was a man of integrity.
For thirty years, he was the gold standard of petroleum engineering-a man who built his life on "The Sterling Record" of precision, safety, and unwavering success. He provided his family with a fortress of stability, believing that if you followed the rules of physics and morality, the foundation would never fail.
Then the world shifted.
The global oil crisis didn't just shut down his refinery; it dismantled his life. Redundant and discarded at the peak of his career, Alistair watches as his "perfect" world collapses. When his young son is diagnosed with a rare, aggressive leukemia, the final support beam snaps. Uninsured and desperate, Alistair realizes that the "system" he spent his life building is the very thing now letting his son die.
When the math doesn't add up, the rules have to change.
Drawn into a shadow world by a crew of jaded former colleagues, Alistair applies his engineering genius to a new kind of project: the perfect heist. From petty robberies to a high-stakes siege within the opulent walls of the Grand Prix Casino, he becomes the architect of his own descent.
But as a "simple" robbery spirals into a claustrophobic hostage crisis, Alistair finds himself trapped between a corrupt CEO, a relentless police negotiator, and a crew of friends who have lost their way.
How far will an honorable man go to save what matters most?
In the heat of the Gilded Suite, Alistair must make a final, impossible calculation. To save his son's life, he may have to destroy his own soul-and discover that some structures are meant to be broken.
