This Is Not My Face: What happens when the mirror reflects a stranger? When the face looking back carries years of silence, survival, and untold stories? In This Is Not My Face, the author takes us on an intimate, unflinching journey from a childhood shaped by absence and mystery to a womanhood defined by resilience and rediscovery. Raised in Jamaica by grandparents she lost as a teenager, and later navigating life in a new country, marriage, motherhood, and a corporate career, she found herself searching not just for a father, but for her voice, her truth, and the girl within who had gone silent for too long. Through moments of heartbreak, triumph, therapy, and spiritual awakening, this memoir is both a healing ritual and a reclamation. It’s about facing trauma, redefining success, and learning that healing isn’t linear, but it is possible. Raw, lyrical, and deeply human, This Is Not My Face is a story for anyone who has ever questioned their reflection, buried parts of themselves to keep peace, or longed to return home to who they truly are.
