Descripción del artículo del vendedor

Brown cloth HARD COVER, 6 3/4 by 8 1/4 in., very solid and clean, pristine except for a stamped "H" on the first free page. PREVIOUSLY PRIVATELY OWNED, no other marks. The DUST JACKET is whole and clean. A charming and unique science PICTURE BOOK aimed at making children comfortable with insects and willing to search for them. Poetry abuzz, swarming with illustrations. INS 021473 CARP A unique children's science picture book in which the author uses a poetic format and the illustrator, Alan E. Cober, does ethereal drawings in which children, and adults, have to hunt to find the insects - with good effect. The text emphasizes the "good" insects who are not threatening to young children and points out the benefits that insects bring us while the illustrator, who was posthumously inducted into the Society of Illustrators hall of fame, wraps them in softness and pulls kids into seeking them.SCANS available upon request.

Descripción de la tienda

We had an open shop in the Northwest section of Philadelphia in the Chestnut Hill, Mt Airy neighborhood for 18 1/2 years. It was in a beautiful 1882 train station designed by the noted architect, Frank Furness. In August of 2014, we closed that shop but continue to sell on-line out of our home in Williamsburg, PA. We'd love to have you visit our 8,000 plus books, by appointment.
