A VG+ clean attractive set in a handsome contemporary binding. The author served aboard the Frigate Conway on the South American station, 1820-1823, of which this is an account. Ex-Libris Francis, Earl of Killmorey, from his library at Mourne Park House, with his engraved armorial bookplates to upper pastedowns. Captain Basil Hall's account of his 1820-22 travels provides information on the history, politics, social life, and culture of Chile, Peru and Mexico, with remarks on bullfights, earthquakes, revolutions, mining, trade, the colonial system of Spain &c.
