N.d. (pub'd 1845) Decorative quarter leather gilt-stamped. 15 pp. (1 p. adverts.), 28 steel engraved maps (9" x 11.5" sheets) tipped onto stubs (one double-page map). Lacks f.f.e.p.; fr. board starting & shows some bubbling to cloth which is curled at top corner; moderate wear to edges, extrems; prelims show dime-sized stain to t.e.; mild smutting & foxing to some maps, most showing minimal to no foxing. A lovely atlas, published in the months between the annexation of Florida & Texas, as indicated in the introduction. Includes an addended map of Palestine. Murray (1779-1846) was a prominent geographer and historian and major contributor to the Encyclopaedia of Geography as well as numerous volumes of travel & description.
