 John Hickie is currently Director at Carrick Communications and has spent the last 30 years at the intersection of technology, communications and technical writing. After graduating from the Limerick Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Science he started his career at Westinghouse Electric writing instructional manuals for the US Air Force before moving to Sweden to work for ASEA Robotics (now ABB) and BOFORS as a freelance technical writer.
