Paul Fontes is a partner in the human resources practice and head of Eversheds Sutherland's employment team in London.
Paul has considerable experience of conducting proceedings in the Employment Tribunals and the High Court and regularly defends high value and commercially sensitive claims on behalf of employers. He also advises on non-contentious issues such as incentive plans and remuneration structures, business reorganisations and redundancies, executive appointments and terminations and the employment law aspects of corporate transactions. He regularly advises on and co-ordinates multi-jurisdictional projects.
Paul advises clients across a broad range of sectors with particular experience in the financial and professional services sectors. He advises a number of FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies, major professional services firms, regulatory bodies, investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, brokers and other City institutions.
Elizabeth Graves is a Partner in Eversheds Sutherland's Human Resources Practice Group, having joined Eversheds from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
Elizabeth provides day-to-day employment advice and advice on complex employment matters (both contentious and non-contentious). She has particular expertise in complex restructuring, outsourcing and providing employment support on M&A transactions, both public and private. Her recent experience includes advising on industrial relations aspects of the Royal Mail IPO, defending an employer against multi-million pound TUPE litigation and advising a household name on cross-border restructuring across Europe.
She regularly works cross-border for clients on both sides of the Atlantic, dealing on a daily basis with employment law issues in many non-UK countries.
Many of Elizabeth's clients are in the financial services and life sciences sector. She is skilled in handling employment issues in the context of regulatory investigations, whistle blowing and misuse of confidential information. She has also completed secondments to two global investment banks.
