“From the outset I felt quite strongly that I wanted to celebrate the horse in its own right.” ―Tim Flach, photographer No animal has captured the human imagination quite like the horse, depicted in media from cave drawings thousands of years ago through countless renderings in paint, clay, ink, even film. Award-winning photographer Tim Flach’s quest to document the horse has resulted in Equus, an intensely moving look at an animal―as solitary subject and en masse, from the air and from underwater―whose history is so powerfully linked to our own. From exquisite Arabians in the Royal Yards of the United Arab Emirates to purebred Icelandic horses in their glacial habitat; from the soulful gaze of a single horse’s lash-lined eye to the thundering majesty of thousands of Mustangs racing across the plains of Utah, Equus provides an amazing and unique insight into the physical dynamics and spirit of the horse.
Acerca del autor: Tim Flach is a graduate of Central Saint Martins in London, where he studied photography. He spent twenty years as a successful advertising photographer - his clients included Adidas and Sony - before turning to more personal work, garnering much press and many awards along the way. With this latest project, commissioned by PQ Blackwell, a publisher in New Zealand, Flach reveals an extraordinary talent for animal portraiture and nature photography. He lives in London, England.

Hardcover. Condición: New. Estado de la sobrecubierta: New. 1st Edition. Stunning example of digital photography at its finest. You will not get this out of your SLR very easily. Flach has produced work at the highest level of art. Where today's flash Harry's yob about all over the world's art galleries, and get proclaimed as geniuses for producing some pretty rancid 'art', this guy quietly illumines the true quest of the artist, which is to reveal the wonder of the world about us. His work is humbling. It is original and sometimes overwhelming, as great art should be. This massive and heavy book is a brilliant production. And this copy has the signature of the photographer on the title page, signed especially at the opening of his new show in London's Mayfair. Utterly brilliant. This heavy book it will need extra postage depending on destination. Language: eng. Signed by Author. Nº de ref. del artículo: ABE-1488530157529
